Welcome!
The Upper Midwest Rebild Scholarship Corporation is both an independent 501c3 Nonprofit Corporation and a Minnesota-based 317A Nonprofit Corporation, organized and operated exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes which preserve and strengthen the Danish heritage of Minnesota and the Upper Midwest area.
Applications are accepted from U.S. citizens and permanent residents attending a U.S. college or university in any of the 50 states. In the past, scholarship awards have ranged from $1,000.00 to $3,000.00. Please see the section titled "Award" for more details.
The overall aim of the corporation is to help develop and promote the cultural and friendship ties between the United States and Denmark. The Upper Midwest Chapter of the Rebild National Park Society is a strong supporter of the corporation.
The corporation will receive and disburse funds for the accomplishment of its purposes and has organized a scholarship fund to provide the means to support a period of study in Denmark by a young person of Danish background and extraction and/or an individual who has demonstrated a strong interest and commitment to Denmark and “matters Danish”.
